Lots of error 1935 when installing anything.
Hey guys. Here is my problem:
I had tried installing visual C++ express 2010. This installation failed installing the first item "Microsoft Error Reporting". It did not give any detailed errors other than "failed to install microsoft error reporting". I basically gave that up and decided to go install Age of empired 3 for some reason. RIght at the end of the installation, I got an error "Error 1935. error installing assembly" this error mentioned MSXML module. This happened every time. I tried installing MSXML6 but didnt work. I gave up this, then tried to install the nokia PC suite program, and again, i got an error 1935. This time it mentioned something about vc80 but thats all i got out of it. It was basically the same error. For some reason, I decided to uninstall MS visual C++ runtime 2005 and try reinstalling it. I tried installing the 64bit edition of VC C++ 2005 but it said "Unable to locate required resource". I tried the 32 bit and then it gave me another darn error 1935. I looked all over for troubleshooting help but nothing seemed to work.
I will try anything at this point, but for some reason my restore points are missing (i dont remember clearing them but whatever). SO that isnt a possibility.
I also have a problem where when i click "check for updates" on the windows updater, it loads forever and never really checks for updates. I dont know if its related but would be nice to fix as well.
I will do anything so thank you to anyone that suggests a way to fix it.
