netbook gateway can not boot

    netbook gateway can not boot


    I have netbook gateway procc intel atom, window starter. 2 days ago, i browsed internet then i restart computer. i did something wrong when i click on window with startup repair (not to click start window normally). now my netbook stuck on blue screen. When i opened command prompt it says x:window\system32>.. my drive c was gone. Anyone can help it will be appreciated. sorry for my english. Thank you.

    Check your ram.
    Memory Diagnostics Tool
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

    Check your HD.
    1) Boot DVD, & Press Shift+F10 (for command prompt)
    2) Boot DVD, & Command Prompt at Startup (for command prompt)
    Open an command prompt.
    In the command prompt, type chkdsk C: f/x/r/v and press Enter.

    Disk Check
    Check Disk - chkdsk - Vista Forums
    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
    Check Disk (chkdsk) - Read Event Viewer Log

    Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.
    Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

    thank, Theog.
    i followed your instruction (chkdsk: f/x/r/r) but i didn't work. still says x:....... now i use Killdisk to erase all my data. did i do right. and i stiil don't know for next steps after that...

    sorry just got back. my net went down.
    theog.
    i fixed with command prompt but on diskpart > list disk
    "there are no fixed disks to show"

    After couple hours to figure out. finally i can fix it. on BIOS i changed SATA. viola it works now. thanks Theog for tutorial. You are "GURU"
