    Recent BSOD issues


    I've run into some recent BSOD issues.

    It started last night with a random BSOD I wasn't aware of until I woke up. I ran Verifier after I saw another topic about ntoskrnl.exe, which Who Crashed diagnosed as the issue. The verifier caused BSODs on shutting down Windows after activating it. Took Safe Mode to turn off.

    Attached is the zip the posting instructions topic asks to attach. Ignore the minidump from the 19th, since I don't know when that happened (it was shortly after a reformat) and I have since updated the driver Who Crashed advised on updating - the ATI one.

    My system:
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
    Full retail version
    The system is running after 2 reformats
    The last reformat was about a week ago
    The system's hardware, apart from fans, is about 13 months old.

    All of the driver verified BSOD's were caused by PCGenFAM.sys 15/06/2010 11.52.58 Soluto PCGenome Soluto PCGenome Core Driver which causes memory corruption


    I would remove it and test the ram to be sure


    Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.


    Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

    Hm.
    Apparently the driver is an issue Soluto has with Verifier. Nothing specific. How about the first one after the 19th? That's the primary issue. As for the RAM, I had tested during the issue I had before the last reformat and was all well after 8 passes.
    What I'm really worried about is that BSOD before the the verifier ones.
