    BSOD ntoskrnl.exe

    Hi guys.
Really need help here, my computer has been doing this for a while now and its really irritating. Basically, whenever my computer is about to load the desktop or just after it loads the desktop it gets BSOD and says 'IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL' and reboots. I'm pretty positive its not my RAM because i used the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool and didnt say anything was wrong. I used BlueScreenView and it almost always says the cause is ntoskrnl.exe. Also, I cannot simply re-install Windows 7 as I have an N Edition .iso I was given from a friend about a year ago, and I cannot use that as it wont let me install Windows 7 on safe mode which is the only thing that works.

I will attach my BlueScreenView files.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Did you run the JC Griff tool? None of the files generated by it are uploaded; only the dumps uploaded.

No problem. You uploaded them. Oh, and you don't have to bump. We are all volunteers here and we get to the threads as quickly as we can. :)

I looked at your four most recent dumps. All of them reference memory corruptions and three of the four show sptd.sys involved in the crashes. I suggest that you uninstall Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% or whatever CD virtualization software you are running. It uses a driver, found in your dump, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads. Select uninstall; do NOT select reinstall.

Here is a free alternative CD virtualization program that does not use the sptd.sys driver.
    Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

Outdated drivers can and do cause conflicts, memory corruption and BSOD's. I find the following out of date drivers loaded on your system. These drivers are quite obsolete; update them through the links provided.
adfs.SYS Thu Jun 26 16:52:37 2008 - Adobe File System Driver. Adobe. There is no update for this driver. Rename it. See note below.

    msahci.sys Sat Jan 19 01:28:58 2008
    - AHCI 1.0 Standard Driver. Windows Update

netr6164.sys Fri Sep 28 09:37:32 2007 - Ralink RT2561 & RT2661 series Wireless LAN Card (you may have a different manufacturer). Ralink corp.

    nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008
    - nVidia Ethernet Networking Driver (nForce chipset driver). Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers.
       Note
Renaming drivers: create a restore point, using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers, locate the driver files, and rename them from .sys to .old. Reboot and the drivers will not load. This will break whatever software or hardware these drivers are associated with.

Uninstall sptd.sys and update/rename the above drivers. Reboot and let's see how your system runs. Post back and let us know. If you get another BSOD, upload it and we will go from there.

Hi Carl. Thanks for the help so far. I disabled the msahci.sys and the nvm62x64.sys drivers with no luck, but then I also done the .old trick with netr6164.sys and the computer was working for 10 minutes before I put a copied driver back to the drivers folder and rebooted. The computer got BSOD again so I assume it is netr6164.sys, which is a driver for my network card, so I can either have a working computer with no internet access or a broken computer. Any suggestions on what I do?
