1 stick ram Stable, 2 sticks Unstable, freezing/BSOD

I've been trying to tackle this problem for a while now, here are some other threads on other websites i've already posted elsewhere.

(old) ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Forum- Random Win7 Lock-UP with no notification

The attached memdumps range from september to december, please give them all a look-over. I generally do not get a BSOD with this problem, I'd say it happens about 1 to every 10 times I get a freeze which the computer freezes and I cannot do anything but restart. To avoid this problem, I have found that running only 1 stick of 2gb ram I will have zero noticible issues.. I ran it this way for a month without a single freeze or bsod. the problem is I don't want to be only running 2gb for the rest of the life of this brand new x64 system. I'd like to have 8gb ram at some point.

    Specs:
    Win 7 Ultimate 64bit
    I5-750
    P7P55D-E PRO
    Corsair Dominator 4GB(2x2) TW3X4G1333C9D
    Corsair 750TX PSU
    EVGA GTS 250
    WD 1TB Caviar Black

I have recently updated to the newest available bios, didn't fix the problem.
Have also run memtest up to 20 passes, and with no errors.
Have tried setting voltage in bios to specified 1.5v with no luck.

    Hello,

Have you tried running Memtest86 on the stick of RAM you took out?

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Also, uninstall Daemon Tools, as it is using SPTD. When that is done, remove SPTD with this tool: http://www.duplexsecure.com/download...t-v174-x64.exe

Not the first time I've seen that error, by any means. Go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers, and delete sptd.sys. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Go ahead and follow the first three steps:
1.) Open regedit. And find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sptd.
2.) Delete that folder "sptd" in the registry. If you can't, just right-click the folder, and click Permissions. Ask for "Full Control". Do this also to a sub-folder of "sptd" namely "cfg" (i actually already deleted it so i forgot). Just find ways to delete the "sptd" folder in the registry.
3.) Now rename or delete the 'sptd.sys' file found on Windows\system32\drivers.
You don't want to reinstall it, though.

welp, ive run each stick in each slot, for 15-20 passes with zero errors. memtest shows the mem speed at 668mhz, latencys look ok. anything else wrong like the core IMC 'disabled'?

Try running Prime95; both the Blend and Small FFTs test.

amazingly, I haven't had a freeze in over a week now that daemon tools is gone! I never could have imagined a software program could single-handedly cause problems that looked like major hardware issues! Thanks for all the help.. I'll be sure to pass it on to everyone with similar problems.

Here is an advanced method for removal for anyone else having the same problems:

Better Alternatives to Daemon tools is Free VirtualClone Drive and I like it's ease of use to mount several ISO's
And/or UltraISO (not Free), but still pretty darn good for creating ISO's etc.
I have not used UltraISO's Burner before, as I use DeepBurner Free (portable edition) to burn ISO's.
