Which ATI driver was/are you using?
They come out with new drivers all the time, if one causes a crash try a different one, newer if possible.
The latest ATI driver is 10.12 there is a link on the thread below.

How must I wipe out the drivers?
This annoys me, Everytime I wipe out the entire ATI driver, I am able to watch flash videos full screen... Gonna try luck with some of the previous drivers I have found... OR should I try the 3rd party ones?
Now it doesn't crash in youtube, 1 year old drivers....
Use the Control Panel > Program and Features > right click the ATI Manager > Change and uninstall.
Then use Driver Sweeper each time before you install a new Catalyst version.
This will get rid of all traces of the driver.
Reboot and install the new (or older version) driver.
I would use the ATI drivers and CCC.
I have one other theory, could it be a corrupt windows install. First time I had my computer it worked perfect, my computer slowed down (I made myself believe it did ). I decided to format computer, that's when the issue appeared. You see, when I did the re-install of W7 my DVD drive was bad, so was it when I did it this time. I have returned my DVD to RMA, so could it possibly be a corrupt install? Or the driver? I hope it isn't Hardware, it is painful to RMA.

Where can I find 5870 Bios'
Go to the manufacturers website and search for the FW/BIOS.
What brand is it?
If your having problems with your DVD, it won't hurt anything to re-install.
Have you tried installing from a USB memory stick?
Now I am suspecting my system for the BSoD's, The problem actually got fixed (Somehow), but now it's attacking the system files. The new install will certainly fix this ! (Sure I am). I am gonna request close of this thread once the problem disappears.
