Windows 7: BSOD while playing Mass Effect.

BSOD while playing Mass Effect.

Hello,

I am unsure what the issue is. Event viewer hardly displays anything worthy to tell me what the problem is, and I am sure my drivers are up to date. However anyone who is looking through my dump files/system health report, be aware I purposely disabled the audio devices listed as disabled as I have no use for them.

I've read that this game, Mass Effect, has realtek codec issues. I am not entirely certain however. I am at least 20+ hours into this game, and this is the first BSOD with this game let alone the first BSOD for the past 4 or so months which was when this system was built with my own very hands.

I do believe my temperatures are stable, as after recovering from the BSOD I had 41degrees on my graphic card and usually under load with other more intense games I've hit around a maximum of 60ish degrees. Processor sits around 30~40 degrees and is being cooled with a coolermaster hyper 212+ and the only OC present is a "stable" factory OC on my graphic card from Gigabyte.

I have had no issues with this system until today, unaware if the problem is a realtek issue with the game, the game's compatibility with Windows 7 64bit, or due to a background process running. I am sure no driver issues are present.

Thank you for your time, I will be monitoring the progress.

Please upload your files directly on the forum with your posts. If one is not a member of Rapidshare, he/she is forced to play their stupid game and wait 30 seconds for the download to begin.

I looked at the dump. It does not point to anything specifically and indicates memory corruption. I do see two outdated drivers loaded on your system. Update these drivers:
Quote:
AtiPcie.sys Tue May 05 11:00:22 2009 - ATI PCIE Driver for ATI PCIE chipset. Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD
or OEM Motherboard/System chipset drivers. See if you can update this driver.

Rt64win7.sys Thu Feb 26 04:04:13 2009 - Rt64win7.sys - Realtek 8101E/8168/8169 Network Driver Interface Specification 6.20 64-bit Driver. Latest PCIe GBE (GigaBit Ethernet) drivers here: Realtek. Update this driver.
Update the drivers reboot and see if this helps your systems stability. Please post back and let us know. If you get another BSOD, upload it and we will go from there.

Thank you for reading the dump, sorry for the wait through rapidshare however.

Would it also possibly be an issue in the software with the game it's self, if not memory corruption or driver related?

I'll post back if another BSOD occurs, but as I said, this is 20+ hours into this game when it occurred and has not occurred elsewhere in the past.

Edit:
It may also be fault on my part if it isn't driver or RAM related. I was downloading a game through the steam platform while playing this game through steam at the same time.

Steam automatically pauses the download when opening a game, however is bypassed if you alt tab from a game. This may of caused issues, I'll try to follow this theory on the steam forums.
