Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit Freezing Constantly, Possibly Due to Win Update

My Desktop PC has been freezing constantly for the past few days. I have performed System restore back to 12/26/10 and the PC seems to work fine until after I download and install all of the latest windows updates, then it begins to freeze constantly and I have to keep shutting it down and turning it on.

I find this rather odd because my Laptop runs Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit and i'm not having any problems at all. Obviously this could be a driver specific problem, I just need to try to narrow down which updates are different between the 2 PCs.

Is anyone else having any issues with any Windows Updates that were released this week?

    Welcome
Go back with sytem restore to before the updates. Install one or two at a time, test. Be sure there is not problem. When you find the problem download, dont install unless its an important update.
You should always install one or ltwo. Many had problems with installaing many and automatically install.

After installing the updates this week of 10/09/2011, my Windows 7 64 bit will not restart. I've gone thru all the repair apps several times, and it says I do not have a restore point. I get an error message of 0x0, and am told to remove a camera or music device neither of which are connected. I wanted to re-install Windows in the repair mode, but 7 does not seem to do that as previous systems. My only alternative I can see is a clean install which I really do not want to do. Any ideas.
