    Dell XPS M1530 BSOD

    Happy New Year!

OK, I have a 2-3 year old Dell XPS M1530 laptop, which is crashing.

It was running Vista Home Premium 32-bit OEM originally, but I upgraded it to Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit Retail some time ago with no problems.

Since then I had problems with the internal Intel WiFi 4965AGN disconnecting and dropping packets, so having tried upgrading the driver, I replaced it with an Intel WiFi 5300. So I suspect the 5300 is the likely problem.

Let me know what you find, and thanks in advance.

    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

The latest crash was caused by your netw5v32.sys (intel network driver) re-install the newest version

Thanks for the reply, Just looking through the list but don't hold much hope of updates, as they're mainly Dell drivers, and their updates are non-existent! Last update for most are 2007 :-( and the manufacturers don't support their oem equipment directly.

I have reinstalled the intel driver with the latest from Dell last night, but that obviously doesn't work. I have previously tried the latest Intel driver, and will try this again, but I don't hold out much hope.
