    Random BSOD again =\

    Hi guys,

prior to your help before it seemed i had solved my bsod scenario however they seem to be back, i ran memtest to check my ram and after i had replace my existing ram with new ram one of the sticks had errors, so i have now taken that stick out. i re-ran memtest overnight and it showed 0 errors. so that's a good thing.

now my main issue is since i've had this RAM problem my pc 'hangs' at shutdown, it appears to crash and then restarts, however there is no new dumpfile? i'll upload the latest dump files form when i was having BSOD due to the bad ram stick, if you guys can find any other information so that i can fix my shutdown issue it would be very much appreciated.

Both reports refer to memory corruption, take memtest86

    Download memtest86 and test RAM
    www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
    Run for 8 passes
If passes try a good stick in each slot for 3 passes
If fails do the same for 8 passes.

i explained above in my first post mate, i did run memtest and found a bad RAM stick which i have now removed, my main issue now is that my windows 7 wont shutdown, just hangs on shutdown screen then restarts, also ive noticed some of my games are 'freezing'

I'm wondering if its my PSU failing?

Sometimes freezing/latency issues, failure to shutdown can be video driver related.

You can run start>cmd>powercfg -a to find what states are currently supported and determine if this is the issue.

Ok i did what you suggested and i got this in my cmd window.

The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby (S1 S3) Hibernate Hybrid Sleep
The Following sleep states are not available on this system: Standby (S2) The system firmware does not not support this standby state.

now i have to be honest, this means nothing to me as i've never really looked into this before, so what can you tell me regarding this message?

It just tells you that your machine "Can" sleep and that it can do s1 (light sleep), and S3 deep sleep. It cant do hibernate, nor S2.

If you force sleep what happens?
