[PROBLEM][HELP] Cannot copy a simple low sized file

hi, i am trying to copy a folder with 4 items in it to my SD card. when i copied it, the green status green bar runs until it stops at about 80%, it kept on staying there for 15 minutes until an error popped up "error 0x80070079" as seen in the attachment.
can anyone help me fix this problem?

According to the first link I gave you: Error 0x80070079: The semaphore timout period has expired.
This message usually indicates that a hard disk controller driver is waiting for an overlapped read/write operation to complete. It’s due to problems with a faulty hard disk controller driver or possible hard disk drive hardware problems.

Thanks to Lara Jones [MSFT] Windows Home Server Team
Your hard disk may have some file system errors or bad sectors.
So lets try this to rule out those possibilities:
    Disk Check

Try to pick a time that allows you to run this procedure un-interrupted because it can take a while to run.

    See Warning in step 11.

After step 4, go to step 10c, and post results, good or bad.

Okay, we've eliminated any Hard disk drive hardware problems.

Let's concentrate on a faulty hard disk controller driver. There is not much in your SystemSpecs to try and identify what you have.

    We need the
Compaq model number, and a model number from the motherboard.

Look in Device Manager, and for something like a
    SATA AHCI Controller
    what are the dates there?

Run belarc.com to give you info on your machine. There will be a category for Hard Disk controllers.

Post back and we'll see what drivers we can get for an update.

Has this been an upgrade from XP to 7 or has it always been 7?
