Windows 7: Black screen of death?

While surfing the web ,y internet became slow so i restarted my computer while on the force log off screen my niece force shut down the computer using the physical button.
Now when i turned it back on it went to the acer screen with f2 for set up and f 12 for boot menu. Then the screen with the blinking caret (-) cam on for about 5 seconds then the screen went black , I've waited 30 minutes while looking for fixes , all of them said you needed a disk witch i don"t have because my laptop came pre-loaded with windows 7. I just got this laptop for x-mas. Is there any way i can fix it without the disk? Could i bring it to best buy or geek squad for a fix , can they fix it ? Also i turned it on and off multiple times and one time it beeped over and over with no code then the battery stopped working. Is my brand new Laptop broken?

Well, let me think.. If you don't have either a recovery CD/DVD or a Windows CD/DVD, you probably have a recovery partition hidden somewhere on the HD.

You are still able to access the boot menu, aren't you?
If so, I'd try using a live CD (e.g. Ubuntu) to try and save any important document on an external USB drive first, then try re-imaging the laptop with the image that (hopefully) is included in a hidden partition on your HD.
