BSOD On idle or when using the Internet

Hi there. I just finished building my dream machine but am running into idle BSOD's and can't seem to figure out why I'm getting them!

The BSOD's only happen while idle. If I'm using something that is resource intensive the machine can run all day no problem. If Istart using the internet or leave the system idle for any length of time, I get a BSOD.

I am running Win 64 Home premium, I believe that it is the OEM system builder version.

sys information: AMD Phenom 2 x6@3.33Ghz
XFX6970 2gb
ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme
1TB SATA 3
OCZ 80gb Agility 2 Solid State Hard Drive

Thank you in advance for any help. I'm completely out of ideas.

e1q62x64.sys,

I spot checked your reports. They all indicate this Intel driver to be the culprit. Try to update or, if you have the most current, roll back.

The reports that you have submitted reveal clues to the cause of your problem. They do not give a definitive answer. The more reports that we receive the more clues are made available improving our chances of finding a solution to your problem. You may have to experience several more BSODs until the final answer is discovered.

If overclocking restore normal settings

SFC /scannow
System Files - SFC Command

Scan with your Anti Virus

Update outdated listed drivers. If I have inadvertently listed any Microsoft Drivers, they can be ignored. If the list is extensive I have included the driver verifier test so that you may determine which drivers are in need of immediate attention.

How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- The most common drivers are listed on this page: http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html

I updated that driver. The one I had was from September 2009.

I hope that will stop the insanity!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help!

Most times the reports give clues and it takes many BSODs to get it right. Every one that I checked showed that same driver. Change the driver, follow the other directions and I think it will be ok. Good luck

I've been good to go since this morning! Left computer on for the last 5 hours, idling, using internet, etc, and no BSOD! I'm surprised that a single driver could cause that much trouble. Again, thank you! You saved my computer. You, sir, are officially "The Man!"

You are welcome. I have been doing these BSODs for a while; most usual casues
1 driver
or
memory

If you dont want them to return, follow the other steps too.
