BSOD 2 Me 1

Sup mates.,
I turned on the verifier, then restart it., the first blue screen came out: it was about pdi kernel port, u know the "pdiports.sys" and it was installed by HP My Display (i have a HP Pavilion w2408h 24") screen rotation.

A past weeks i read about this and people said that pdiports.sys was designed and used by this kind of monitors. So they said that "u could delete it" and it not going warm the system. So i deleted the file, restart the system., and all gone good. Im still waiting for another BSOD. This is just an Update Record for this post.

NO!, thanks for YER time mate and yer help!.

Well.., again., turn on the system., BSOD came again., verifier saids that it was the Real Teck HD audio 64 driver.. a driver wich was already updated!

Unistall the driver and as a consequence the app of the sound system (i really dont need it). ok., Restart it., Win installed her own drivers., sound goes cool., bout., with out the "original" app sound mannager. VFTW i think.

This was caused by the verifier isnt?., i mean., i just getting the facts., maybe all the time the sound drivers was not compatible, and with the verifier off, the system pass by them,. im correct??

Since then., no more BSOD´s.

You know mate., i was thinking in face back ., and install XP - 64bits, and wait till Win7x64 Hardware drivers are stables. What u think?

note:im still runing with the verifier on.

Hi William,

All Verifier did was stress the drivers to see which one acted up. When Verifier finds a faulty driver, it triggers a BSOD so the driver can be identified. As with any diagnostic program, it is not 100% accurate. But most of the time it gets pretty close. A lot of the built in utilities create problems with Windows. It is not Windows that is the problem; it is the software and hardware folks who have not taken the time to write their programs and code their drivers to run smoothly on Win 7.

Microsoft does not write the drivers for third party software and hardware manufactures. Microsoft gives them a "tool kit". Included in that kit are the specifications and standards the drivers and software have to meet to run on Win 7. It is up to those folks to have there products running smoothly with Win 7.

It is true that drivers for 64 bit Win 7 are bit more of a problem than for the 32 bit version. Generally, Realtek drivers work pretty well. As for whether you should go back to XP or not, I really can't advise. I do not know you use your computer. For example, if I were running a bunch of legacy (old) software designed for XP and Win 98, I would run XP. That stuff is not going to run on Win 7. Since I don't have legacy programs, I updated my hardware - sound card, video card, hard drive, Ethernet adapter, wireless adapter and RAM - to run Win 7. Other than having trouble getting the right drivers for nVidia graphics card (it took some trial and error to get it right), I have had no trouble at all with Win 7.

Be sure to upload the Verifier enabled dumps for us to look at. After about 36 hours, you can turn Verifier off.

Hello Carl., just updating the thread.

Since i turn on the Verifier, the first Screen came out, i was about the Realtek Audio., ok, unistall the audio drivers, let Windows install his owns., all gone cool.I turned off the Verifier., no more blue screens came out., since i need to install a program in a ISO file., so how to mount the ISO? I forget the erros with Virtual Clone Driver., ( yeah what a mess), watching Youtube Videos., Retouching photos with photoshop., Blue came out.. i forget to unistall the Clone Driver., now its out my system. Lets see whats next.
So thats why i will not send "again" the report of the dump, because i know it was the Clone Driver.

Hey Carl., hope you read this..

Well., ive downgrade to WinXp 64 ( yeah i know what you will said)., any way., i get more problems., even i cant start soo many programs., a waste of time and horrible situation. And., i were thinking again in Win 7., installing,. updating., etc etc. With Debian (if the problem was some pc component) all gone right., no problems.

The mad felling in bed time night, thinking in windows., and the fact that this pc was too expensive (for me)., i dicided to try it again.

Bout this time no the "Ultimate"., no., the Professional Version. And guess what?.

All., bout all is working like a Non Plus Ultra. 4 REAL! mate.
No more blue suprises., no more unknow rebooting system., Nothing. Just like it has to be PERFECT!
