Black screen !?!?!

Okay well I have two issues.
1:
Every time I start up I get to the "starting" screen...after that where it is supposed to load users I get a black screen with only the cursor..I cannot do anything with the keyboard such as Ctrl+Alt+dlt.
I can start is "safe mode" and "safe mode with networking" (haven't tried with command prompt"
I am not sure how I got on last time...I haven't shut my computer down since I was able to login...I did do a dskchk and that enabled me to logon just fine but not sure if it will work the next.
I have read many forums about this but no help was found.
I am running 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate.
I have a HP-Pavillion, 512 mb RAM..I know this is little but it seems to work wonderfully on 7
Btw, Yes I have tried the whole "repair from disc" Failed

Okay number 2:
I cannot see my cursor :/
I am using Cursorfx atm reason, Missing cursor.
I have tried going to settings and enabling aero, aero large etc.
No luck was found...If anyone can resolve any of these problems I will love you forever...Please help
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, Kinda new ^_^
