    Blue Screen of Death

    Good Afternoon,

    I have a month old Asus G73JH laptop which has given me BSOD twice now, as well as a gray screen with a message popping up a few seconds after stating that the AMD display driver had stopped working but it was successfully restored (I guess money is on that driver).

    Info:
    Windows 7 Home Premium x64
    OEM Install
    Age: >1 month

    Thanks for taking a look at this,
    Jason

    Your ATI drivers are the cause

    - Boot into safe mode with networking
    - Uninstall the ATI drivers including Catalyst Control Center
    - Use driver sweeper to remove leftover ATI display driver files Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (This step is important)
    - Reboot into safe mode with networking
    - Install the latest drivers ATI Catalyst
    - Reboot into normal mode

    Code:
    BugCheck 3B, {c0000005, fffff88004b62817, fffff88009ff7900, 0}

    Probably caused by : atikmdag.sys ( atikmdag+90817 )
