Windows 7 Beta - cannot start

I've a desktop with Windows 7 Beta installed. When it starts up it reach a screen called "Windows Resume Loader" like this:

I cannot move the selection or anything else. It's like frozen. But I can enter BIOS and stuff like that.
I've been trying to boot the Windows 7 disk and run a repair - but that does not help. It didn't found any issues.

Can I remove the hibernate data from the disk from the command promp on the Windows 7 disk? If so, where is it located?

    Hope someone can help me.

Is it a true win 7 dvd or a repair dvd? If win 7 can you do a safe boot (F8)? If you can chances are it is a driver.

    Let us know

Hello DennisMadsen Welcome to the Se7en Forums!

When you mention "beta" is that one of the 7000 beta builds or one of the Release Candidates still installed on the system there? The 7000 betas expired at the end of July 2009. The RCs at this time will still startup but shutdown after 2hrs. automatically until the 6/1/2010 date arrives.

    Thanks for the F8-tip :)
I've been trying both Safe Mode, Last known working start up and a normally start up. They all gets me throw the "Windows Resume Loader", but when it enter the desktop (I only see the background), nothing more happens. I can move the mouse but thats all

    It's a Windows 7 RC.

    EDIT:
Well, after some time it started. But it's the Windows installation in safe mode - not the installed OS. The installed OS is the RC version, and the disk I have is the RTM.

With the RC you should have used the option to burn a repair cd with the startup and other tools on it. I doubt the retail disk will help you there.

For the most it's past time to wipe the RC off anyways! I have an XP system with a second RC primary that still needs to see that done for someone to look at 7 last year. He hasn't decided when he will be replacing the old XP case with a list of problems for a new 7 case.

Presently you have 3 weeks left for any RC install at this point making it no longer worth the time to save! Remember it is completely expired on 6/1/2010.
