Plenty of people don't recommend flashing the BIOS in Windows (using the Asus utility) - but I tried it and had success with it in flashing my P6T. As I recall, it was a bit "glitchy" the first time I fired it up - but that turned out to be a case of "user headspace and timing" rather than an issue with the flash utility :)

The basic rules of BIOS flashing still apply:
    - only flash in increments of 2 or 3 revisions - problems tend to crop up more often if you make big jumps.
    - TRIPLE check the downloads to make sure they are for your system. If there is any doubt at all - DON'T USE IT!!! Post back with detailed data and get someone else to verify it.
    - Ensure that there won't be any interruptions while flashing. Lock cats, dogs, and small children out of the room if necessary. If you live in an area that suffers power outages/brownouts, consider investing in a good quality Uninterruptable Power Supply
    - Print out the BIOS flash directions and keep them handy. Once the flash starts, don't get impatient and start clicking on stuff. If it's not mentioned in the instructions, leave it alone! For those folks like me, it's advisable to sit on your hands to keep from twiddling with the mouse/keyboard while it's going on.

    Good luck!

Ok thanks i'l get on the volt. On the matter of the bios update, like i said before :) its the V2 version of the P6T Deluxe, i don't have the P6T Deluxe V2, ive got the normal one so the P6T Deluxe V1 (and for the V1 there where no win7 bios updates listed, only visa64 so that would be my only shot). btw i got a flash drive too in FAT32, i'l use it for the rom.

I'l change the CPU Voltage then and see if that helps else the QPI/DRAM core voltage...i take it i can't set the CPI/DRAM Core voltage to 1.28 - 1.30V, does any1 know of a good HD burn-in/stress test btw? OCZ specifies my memory as 1.65 Volts (like all i7 stuff basicly if i'm not mistaken) so i could set the CPI/DRAM Core voltage to 1.65 ? Or is this value for the CPU?

    ---------
Haha Usasma sitting on your hands, ok didn't know you should only jump 2 or 3 revisions.. hmm i downloaded:
    P6T-ASUS-DELUXE-1605
But your saying i should flash multiple times every time a never version. The versions Asus has on my card are as follows:
    Version 1003 (Current)
    Version 1102
    Version 1206
    Version 1303 (Flash 1st?)
    Version 1403
    Version 1504
    Version 1605 (Finally?)

So i should flash to 1303 then finally to the 1605 (steps of 3)?

    My current version is v1003

I'm not sure about what you're referring to with the BIOS flash versions. I did flash my P6T Deluxe v2 with the inside Windows flash tool in Windows 7. I don't think that there was a Win7 tool available at the time, so I used the Win Vista tool and installed it in compatibility mode for All Users to run as Windows Vista and to Run as administrator.

The BIOS version isn't related to the OS version. Check the different OS's to see this. Rather it's the flash tool that works inside of Windows that depends on the version.

Yes, that's a good progression. FYI - it doesn't always cause issues if you jump a lot of revisions, but it's happened enough to make it a caution. It's the flash tool that has to be the correct version for the Windows that it's working in (and if Win7 isn't a choice, then you'll have to go with the Vista).

That being said, I did this as an experiment (I'm a beta tester with Connect). Since it's beta software, and you're running the installer from within Windows - it's your choice to either chance it, or to resort to the traditional BIOS flashing method by using a floppy drive. Since it worked for me, I'd expect that it'd work for you - BUT that's no guarantee!!!

So, flash the 1303, then reboot and make sure everything works as it should.
    Then flash the 1605.

Read the Manual - do as stated

Many years ago, the common practice, was Flash 1 step, Reboot,
If you do not REBOOT after ea flash, then what the HELL are you flashing for.
The use of any method other than the recommend method by your MOBO Manufacture is "GROSSLY DANGEROURS." IMHO stupid also.

Method is READ the manual, my new car says only 87 Octane Regular GAS. The use of higher Octane is considered dangerous. The use of more than 10% Ethanol is considered Dangerous. Even is 20% Ethanol is priced cheaper. I think the use of would be considered STUPID on my part.

    Update 13

Still feeling crappy but i'm trying some stuff, cpu voltage was on 1.28 in bios, CPU-z showed 1.27 something and i played cod4 for a few hours, then the pc was suddenly off and it rebooted (no bsod), i checked temps in bios. (CPU=53, MB=50 is that too high btw?), got CPU Voltage on 1.29 or something now, cpu shows 1.28. But it looks like the voltages where already too high or whats up?

btw: is it so ****ing hot at your locations aswell? damn i'm sweating and getting sticky on my chair haha , hate it when that happens

Have your tried booting to BIOS and reseting it to DEFAULT.
Seems to me like maybe your trying to OVERCLOCK, and if your sweating then im sure your computer is TOOO HOT also. after reseting the BIOS to default, place a small fan so as to blow air into the tower.
PS: what is 50 or 53 in temp, that is damn cold if your in F temp.
Now if your in: 50 degrees Celsius = 122 degrees Fahrenheit - YOUR TOO HOT.

Shutting down without a BSOD (did you check to see if a dump file was created?) is due to many reasons - with the most common being a hardware problem.

Heating can be a hardware problem, especially in a hot climate when a case doesn't have a lot of ventilation. Have you tried leaving the case open and turning a house fan on it? Does/did that make it go longer before it shut down?

FWIW - we're just starting to get warm here (between New York City and Boston, USA) - but it's the humidity that's most bothersome. It's days like this when I long for my time in El Paso, Texas (the desert)! Although it was hot, I didn't sweat nearly as much as I do here!

    Good luck!

Crap yes 50c degrees Motherboard in bios after i was doing cod4 for couple of hours. That too hot huh?, damn how can this happen, never had any probs before these 2 months. What should i do? Call asus dudes and ask how the mobo can get upto 50? or what? I dunno if my airflow is that great either + my ati card which makes allot of heat is right ontop of my Creative XtremeMusic soundcard.. and i mean like right ontop is it blowing the heat against it.

    IDLE temp = 43
I'm just in windows 7 desktop now and "system" sensor in speedfan is 43, think this is the Motherboard. Am just typing on this forum so basicly IDLE.

    DUMPFILE: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nht2zzeyzun
this is my latest, dunno if its the one from the reboot since it didn't show a blue screen. (dunno if it still makes a dump then).

Gotta know if the 50c while stressing is too high and if i should still be gaming at this point?

Every mobo and CPU maker that I know of have specs where they consider it UNSAFE to operate there system.
Specs can include TEMP, voltages, etc etc

50º C on a mobo is way too high IMO.
Have you tried the housefan by the case trick?
