Increasing BSODs
I just recently set up my new PC yesterday. After installing the initial drivers I started installing other programs I use (Spybot, Adaware, Steam, Winamp, iTunes) and things were fine but when I set up my external hard drive (Simpletech 500GB) it BSOD. I rebooted without it and it ran fine. I played a game shortly to try it out and went to bed.
Now, today, after trying the hard drive again to troubleshoot, I BSOD again but then it was BSODing everytime I went through My Computer into the directories to grab the minidump files. I try to run it in safe mode and it BSODs shortly after logging in. It runs better out of safe mode, for some reason.
I am having issues with Windows not letting my user account (set to admin) put the .dmp files in a zip, even after taking off read-only.
I'll continue trying to get the minidump but if I'm doing something stupid or one of the programs I have d/l'd is causing them, please let me know.
I did manage to get this from a window that popped up:
