Bsod while I was afk - please help.

Hey guys, I built this rig quite a while back now and have not really had any problems what so ever for months. I just went afk to go make some food, when I came back I saw some message saying windows recovered from a bsod etc. I made sure my girlfriend hadn't messed with my comp, she assured me she had not so I'm really stumped.

The code in the event viewer is 0x0000003b I think.

I searched online and found advice saying run a /sfc scannow, here's what it said:

Beginning verification phase of system scan.

    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th
    em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

    C:\Windows\system32>

Sounds bad right? I have attached the files as asked for in the sticky. Hopefully can get to the bottom of this :S

I checked the CBS.log and here's what it found:

2011-01-19 00:44:56, Info CSI 000002ac [SR] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:60{30},l:58{29}]"\??\C:\Windows\SysWOW64\en-US"\[l:28{14}]"iassdo.dll.mui"; source file in store is also corrupted

2011-01-19 00:45:50, Info CSI 000002fc [SR] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:60{30},l:58{29}]"\??\C:\Windows\SysWOW64\en-US"\[l:28{14}]"iassdo.dll.mui"; source file in store is also corrupted

Those where the only two lines that stood out to me

so could the bsod be related to iassdo.dll.mui or is it just coincidence that I found that corruption by deciding to scan?

How long does it usually take to get a reply? Not being impatient just curious.

Hi Jest and Welcome to SF!

    STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    Usual causes:
System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory

Your .dmp file points towards one of your catalyst drivers, atikmdag.sys.

Many people are having issues with the latest Catalyst, 10.12. See this thread for issues. It may be advisable to install one of the Previous Catalyst Versions.

Be sure to run Driver Sweeper in safe mode to clear Catalyst remnants before installing your "new" Catalyst drivers.

    Update available:
    Rt64win7.sys Wed Jun 23 10:10:45 2010 Realtek LAN RTL811

    Outdated driver:
viahduaa.sys Fri Jul 10 04:07:01 2009 VIA High Definition Audio Function

I had an inkling that ccc was to blame. Well thanks alot for confirming. Aslong as the crashes are infrequent as it's only happened once i'll wait for the 11.1 release in a week, can't be assed to roll back!

Also thanks alot for your reply, didn't know my audio/lan drivers were outdated, and will update them now.

    Thanks for your help :)
