Random reboots with no BSOD
Hey guys, Im in desperate need of some help. I just assembled my new computer and for some, ot me, unknown reason it keeps rebooting itself at random. Below I've attached the email I just sent to the tech support at gigabyte. I hope someone can make any sense of this mess, its killing me seriously. This is what I get for relying on gadgets to do my work. Im eternally greatful to everyone who can contribute with advice on how to get my system up and running!
Also, Im not so vell versed with all this. Its my first build so bare that in mind if you read all this and think Im an idiot. Thanks a milli.
All the best/ Anton
I have recently assembled my CPU, it keeps rebooting itself at random intervals. usually every other hour if left running with no programs open except OS. In some cases the same error occurs while writing large amount of data to the HDD.
The same error messages keeps popping up in the event viewer.
A EventID 6008 error followed by a Kernel 41 (63) that are causing the reboots. However I haven't been able to establish the source causing the problem. After days of troubleshooting this is what i have concluded so far:
* A fresh install of windows left untoch without installing any drivers runs stable as well as when running in safe mode.
* Tried different sets of drivers, does not seem to be the source of the problem. system goes unstable as soon as you install either a driver or software and starts with the reboots.
* Even though I ticked of the box for automatic restarts Im not getting the error blue screen when the reboots occurs.
*I've tried running 2 different versions of win 7 on 2 different hard drives with same result.
*temp is normal at all time. Fans are working properly.
I have pretty much check everything in my ability and I cant come up with a solution which leads me to believe now that there might be some fault with the motherboard. I hope you can shed some light on this issue. As this is my workstation CPU it causes me great trouble to have the system reboot all the time. I will attach files with the error messages related to the reboots.
Thanks for your help!
Best regards/ Anton
