need help with BSOD's

hi guys, im really sorry if this is in the wrong place as im brand new here.
i recently purchased a full retail copy of windows 7 home premium which i am running as 64bit and have had many BSOD's.
im new to understanding minidumps and such so need help to figure out why they are happening.
can anyone help out? if so...what do i need?
