    computer failure

My computer got a virus and within moments of getting the virus it shut off. Which is the worst thing.. After that I tried running multiple virus scans nothing seemed to help to much had to do it all manually. Then I ran system restore computer worked at first for a little bit but then completly became unresponsive. Now everytime I turn it on i get the blue screen of death (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) I dont know the second part to it because it has gotten so bad that my computer gets to the logging in menu then restarts its self or just freezes. Does anyone know what I should do? I have a lot of work and personal things on my computer that I want to keep.

First obviously if you have important things on the computer you should have a backup just in case something like this happens.

    Several questions

1-do you have a win 7 dvd to boot from?

    2-can you boot from it?

3- Can you boot into saf mode (F8)?

4-are you sure you had a virus? How?

My friend is going to give me a windows 7 disk to boot from startup. And yes im sure its a virus. My brother opened up a facebook msg that had one in it. The virus took over my administrator and locked its self inside folders. :/
