Certainly not a clean install

several problems

1-iastor.sys your storage driver is both very old and corrupt. It needs re-installation with the newest available.

2-A lot of old drivers from as far back as 2005
these at least should be updated.

How To Find Drivers:
Quote:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

3-Symantec and AVG

They should be removed and replaced with Microsoft Security essentials
AVG - Download tools
Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support

I got it! I was able to get the SAFE MODE pretty , a nd the first thing I did was to remove AVG and Norton. But then, I could not get the safe mode. I came across this http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...ml#post1207850 and it worked for me! I'll still clean up some of the old stuff, but I'm back in bussiness!
Thanks
