BSOD with new laptop when entering sleep

I'm not sure if I've done this correctly, but hopefully it works.

I recently purchased a new laptop and noticed I get the bluescreen every so often when shutting down or entering sleep mode. Usually 50% of the time I get a complete reboot after putting the laptop to sleep. Other times that I've shut down the computer propertly, I get the how would I like to start windows screen and notification that windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. (after i just shut it down properly!)

Here is the info it seems you require
windows 7 64 bit
original os
OEM
purchased the laptop brand new about a week ago.

BTW I recently installed Mcafee antivirus plus, not sure why it wasn't detected. Either way, all of these problems have existed before i installed Mcafee, as well as after.

Any help from anyone out there? I notice everyone else is getting replies and I'm getting nothing...did I do something wrong in how I posted my info?

Have a little patience I am checking your dump files and will edit momentarily.

Edit: it appears the laptop is just full of zero hour and out of date drivers. I would suggest going to the manufacturer's website entering the model number and looking for new/updated drivers for the system. I would list them out for you but the list is very long.
Another troubleshooter with more time this morning may happen along shortly though. Bugcheck follows.

Code:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000018, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: fffff80002a7186c, address which referenced memory

Hi sheener76 and Welcome.

STOP 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Usual causes:
Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

Your dump files all blame the STREAM.SYS driver which is a Windows System file and is highly unlikely to be the cause..
Old and incompatible drives can and do cause issues with Windows 7.

As a Priority:

McAfee is known to be a cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. I suggest that you uninstall McAfee using the McAfee Removal Tool http://download.mcafee.com/products/...tches/MCPR.exe[/b]. Download Microsoft Security Essentials as its replacement. Make sure your Windows firewall is enabled! Once your BSOD issues are resolved, feel free to try the latest version of McAfee.

Outdated Drivers. Update:

atikmdag.sys Wed Jul 29 22:33:27 2009 Graphics Drivers. Check O.E.M or AMD Graphics Drivers

Windows 7 can also be fickle when it comes to third party security software. If you are using any third party antivirus or firewall replacing it with microsoft security essentials (it's free) and malwarebytes can also help reduce the odds of system crashes. I did not make note of any specific third party security software in your crash log though. It's merely an additional suggestion.

Updating the drivers is always a good idea. Driver updates are almost exclusively system stability patches. Keeping your core windows files updated also helps both security and system stability.
I know it can be a bit of a pain to deal with sometimes, but those updates and patches are released for a reason.

Thanks guys...like I said above, this has been happening from the moment I got the laptop. Before I installed Mcafee and after as well.

I've installed the windows security and I'm currently downloading the updated AMD graphics driver...my fingers are crossed, I'll keep you updated.

(btw, when i rebooted after downloading the new security, I got the bluescreen again LOL)
