    BSOD when SurroundView is enabled

I had originally posted in the graphics area since I am only getting the BSOD when I enable Surround View from the bios. I have included the zip file of the dump and system health report, thanks.

    System info:
    x64, OEM OS
System and OS are under 6 months old as far as being installed.

    My original post:

Brand new to the forums and relatively new to Windows 7. I was trying to enable an option my motherboard came with to allow the use of the onboard (ATI radeon 3000) and external (ATI Radeon HD5670) graphics so I could run two displays, one off of each card. I could run two off the 5670 but I like to game and have other things open and felt it would be less stressful on my gaming card to just run one off the onboard for internet and instant messaging. I set the onboard to UMA and I allowed 64MB of dedicated memory. I also enabled Surround View and set the display options so that GFX0 was primary and IGFX was secondary. Everything booted up fine with the exception of the displays switching what was shown at the log in screen. Which I fixed via the ATI tool. For some reason I felt the need to restart my PC. Upon doing so it crashed after the splash screen. If I leave all settings the way they are and disable Surround View everything boots as normal. For some reason the initial boot after enabling Surround View works fine, the next restart however causes the crash and will not boot until disabled.

Are my included files not helpful? I see quite a few views, don't keep teasing me,

    Hi tehbeast87.

    STOP 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    Usual causes:
Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS.

Your latest dump file blames atikmdag.sys which is your Graphics Driver.
Old and incompatible drives can and do cause issues with Windows 7.

    As a Priority:

The sptd.sys driver is notorious for causing BSOD's with Windows 7. It's used by Daemon Tools /Alcohol 120 which will also have to be uninstalled.
Then use the correct (either 32bit or 64bit) download from Duplex Secure to uninstall the SPTD.SYS driver.
    Make sure to select uninstall!
    Virtual Drives
Some alternatives to DT/Alcohol that do not use SPTD.SYS (In no order).
    DVDFab
    MagicDisc
PowerISO (The program is a trial but the drive emulation is free forever).

You may want to "re-seat" your Graphics Drivers.
    Download and install Driver Sweeper.
    Boot to Safe Mode
    Uninstall current Catalyst set up.
Run Driver Sweeper to clean up any left overs.
    Reboot to Normal Mode.
    Re-install your Catalyst v11.1.

Let us know how it goes. If you get further problems with blue screens, attach your new dump files and details and we'll move on from there.

Thank you very much for the information, I am trying what you have requested now. I am having some trouble finding driver updates for what you have shown is out of date, the links are very general and to be honest I am not familiar enough with what I am looking for. Hopefully this will fix things, :)

Now will I need two ATi drivers since my PCI Express card is an HD5xxx series and my onboard is just Radeon 3000?

Well, I updated what I could via the device manager and removed daemon and reinstalled the ati drivers in safe mode. I enabled Surround View and it booted up immediately after like it usually does. I restarted the computer and good news, no BSOD. The device manager now shows both cards and hopefully I can now proceed in hooking up a second monitor. Thanks so much again for all your help.

    Good to hear.
Now DT has been removed, can you look in your drivers folder for me (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers) and see if that spio.sys driver has gone?
Some of the links are general because (a) Only you know what model/type number may be needed. (b) i don't come across it too often.
The outdated drivers I see a lot I try to give a dead on accurate link. If you're worried about any one in particular let me know, with some details, I'll see what I can find out.

I will check tonight once I get off of work. If the file is indeed still there does that narrow down what the issue was? I also went into the device manager and did Update Driver for the Radeon 3000, it proceeded to change its ID to the AMD chipset, but reverted on restart. Not sure if that means anything.

I am not too worried on the outdated drivers, I mentioned I did the "Update Driver" option in the device manager for my Realtek devices. I dowloaded the GEAR drivers, but could not find drivers for the ATI PCIE chipset or the Blackberry port.

It's more a case as I can't find any info about it. If it has disappeared it sort of confirms it did have something to do with DT/Alcohol.

....but could not find drivers for the ATI PCIE chipset or the Blackberry port.....
The ATI chipset would most likely be your Mobo, if in fact an update is available.
If you don't use the Blackberry software the driver is associated with I'd uninstall the software. It's obsolete.
