Windows 7: BSOD after screen is turned off

BSOD after screen is turned off

Hi,

I've set my power management to turn of my monitor after 5 minutes of inactivity, but now I get a blue screen sometimes when I wake the screen up by touching my mouse or keyboard.

My pc is about 2 years old and I replaced my old graphics card about 1 year ago with an Ati Radeon HD 4870.

I suspect my new card is giving te problems, but my pc was running on an OEM vista version when I replaced the card and it never gave any problems back then. The problem started when i installed Windows 7 Enterprise. It's the 32 bit version.

I've tried uninstalling the videodrivers and making clean new installs but it didn't help. New updates didn't help either.

I hope you can help me.

With kind regards.

Hi TH2003 and Welcome.

STOP 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Usual causes:
Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS

All but one of your latest dump files blame your graphics driver. I'd suggest to re-install.
Also old and incompatible drives can and do cause issues with Windows 7. From your description it would appear that your outdated keyboard drivers are playing a significant part in your problem.

As a Priority:

Download and install Driver Sweeper.
Boot to Safe Mode
Uninstall your current Catalyst SetUp.
Run Driver Sweeper to clean up any left overs.
Reboot to Normal Mode.
Re-install your Catalyst SetUp.

The sptd.sys driver is notorious for causing BSOD's with Windows 7. It's used by Daemon Tools /Alcohol 120 which will also have to be uninstalled.
Then use the correct (either 32bit or 64bit) download from Duplex Secure to uninstall the SPTD.SYS driver.
Make sure to select uninstall!
Virtual Drives
Some alternatives to DT/Alcohol that do not use SPTD.SYS (In no order).
DVDFab
MagicDisc
PowerISO (The program is a trial but the drive emulation is free forever).
