    Black Screen after Win7 Password

Ive been experiencing this issue since i got the computer and ive been trying to tackle it as an offshoot from another thread. When entering my password my computer will not give me the spinning wheel, no cursor or CTRL+ALT+DELTE options. Other thread: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...-system-2.html

Ive tried about everything i know how from the suggestions searching on here and other online forums. Ive updated drivers. Ive run command prompts with nothing coming back as a problem. Ive checked for Malware. This issue happens about 3-4 times a day anymore.

Today i realized that my Analog and Digital monitor cables were hooked up. I disconnected the Analog cable(cause i dont need two) and i set my screen saver to come on after a minute. Since then i havent had the black screen but it takes anywhere from 3-15 seconds for the desk top to load, and really seems really inconsistent. As well as a huge headache for a 3 week old refurbished machine.

Any help and or suggestions are appreciated. thank you

Did you try to swap the video card as a test?

I copied this from someplace ... but this was how one guy solved the black screen of death he was getting

    1)Go to recovery mode(press f8 at startup)
2)Choose comand prompt from the list
    3)Type in c:
    4)Then type in Regedit
    5)Clicked “File>Import”
6)Clicked to show “all files” at the bottom
    7)Surfed to C:\Windows\System32\Winevt\logs
8)Deleted all event logs one bye one
