Explorer Crashes when trying to share a folder

My initial response would be to have you update your Network adapter (NA) drivers, but you offer no other information.
How do I fix network adapter problems?

If I knew what your system was I could of helped you find the proper NA drivers.

I have updated my system specs. I can try to give you a dump of when explorer.exe crashes, but I am unsure of how exactly to go about that. It is not causing a BSOD, but if the method you listed will work I can do that, just let me know. They are built in network adapters on the mother board (WAN Miniport SSTP)

When you go to Device Manager does the listing for the WAN Miniport SSTP have a yellow triangle next to it?

When was the last time you updated your McAfee program? I am seeing a warning with MCSVHOST.EXE

The first indicates a memory access violation occurred. This could easily be
a result of the second error, the heap corruption depending on where the corruption occurs.

Most instances indicate heap corruption is difficult to track down as it can appear to be random.
A corrupt heap is almost certainly an application-caused issue.

Vista, and now Windows 7 checks for these things in an attempt to avoid random crashes at some later point.
MS's previous OS's did not check for this error, it just crashed.

So, the original router went south, and you went and purchased a new one that was exactly the same as the original, Yes or no?

Then you installed the drivers that came with the new router, Yes or no?

How do you know which one is active for the new router? Usually when a similar set of files are installed for any application the new files for that application become "Nvidia NForce Networking Controller(2)" The suffix (x) is important here.
Then, if for whatever reason another set is installed that set would become (3), and it is the newest.

My point is, check/compare the dates on both sets of files, and delete which ever set is older than when you did the reset of your routers.

Make sure they are gone, if necessary use a third-party like Piriform - Download CCleaner or Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware

Optimally it would be best to un-install both sets of Folders/Files for "Nvidia NForce Networking Controller" then re-install the newest.

Do not forget to reboot/restart after both un-installation, and re-installation.

Then try to share your files.

The MCSVHOST.EXE file was causing a lot of trouble until the program was upgraded.

It may not be the router itself, but I'm leaning towards its support. i.e. the installation file.

Those McAfee versions are much better!

If you can bear with me, I have asked other BSOD Gurus to look at your situation. Hopefully we can receive a response by later today.

Try temporarily disabling the McAfee Firewall and see if the problem goes away.

Are you also running the built-in Win 7 Firewall?
