BSOD last 2 nights

Hi,

Could someone take a look at the attached dumps and let me know if there is anything obvious that caused the crashes over each of the last two nights?

Thanks,
Steve

Hello Steve,

Dump blames McAfee Anti-Virus. I would remove that AV using this removal tool: How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe) and use MSE as replacement: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Update this Intel Driver,

I would remove all Acronis Software as they blame them.

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT

Thanks a million for your help with this, Dean. I've followed all of your suggestions and will hope for the best.

>> I would remove all Acronis Software as they blame them.

Quick question: I had problems with an earlier version of this s/w a few years ago. Is there a known issue with their current product? If so, would you have a recommendation for something similar?

If you are using an older version of Acronis, try updating it to the latest version.
