BSOD on Windows 7 (0x0000001A)

Hi,

So as the title apply, I got a BSOD (lol that's sounds like a disease ).
My system (hardware) is about 1 year old (without OC) and I got 2 OS on my desktop: Windows Vista 32bit Retail and Windows 7 32bit Retail. The BSOD happens only on the Windows 7 (Re-installing the 7 OS and updating all the drivers didn't solve the problem).

There is not a specific pattern as to when the bluescreens occur. It usually occur after the PC come back from sleep mode, but it can also occur randomlly while I'm playing a game/surffing the web/watching a video etc.
The error code is always: 0x0000001A.

In BlueScreenPreview it says the problem caused by the driver: ntkrnlpa.exe. I read somewhere it has something to do with the electricity management of the wireless adapter so I tried to uncheck the V from the "Allow this hardware to wake up your system from sleep..." checkbox but I got a bluescreen about an hour after it.

It's also indicated a problem with memory management. I made sure the latency is set to the default values (CL4). Should I try to upgrade the Bios? (Current BIOS Version/Date: Award Software International, Inc. F7, 23/07/2008 , SMBIOS Version 2.4).

On the Event Viewer I got some critical errors with these details:
Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
Event ID: 41
Task Category: (63)
Level: Critical
Keywords: (2)
User: SYSTEM

In the attached file besides the system report there are also 2 minidump files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Madara.

No DMP included try this method

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

If you have CCleaner, make sure it doesn't delete dump files.
Sometimes, dump files are in :\Windows and :\Windows\System32, check those folders too.

I added another dump.
The problem is BSOD that happens randomly on Windows 7 32bit (I got Windows Vista as well and it works fine).
I tried to re-install the OS and update all the drivers already.

Thanks,

Madara.

^ If it's exactly the same problem as mine then for now I canceled sleep mode to avoid the bluescreens. See if it helps you as well.

Hmm... It's been a while since I posted my last reply...
Can someone help me please?

The attached image is the result of a memory test. Seems it's not an hardware problem.

I also checked Gigabayte website for a bios update, but the updates out so far doesn't reference my problem.

Hello again,
This dump was way back months ago (24/04/10) - check in C:\Windows\Minidump if there are new ones. If so, upload them.

Could you please upload more? There is a problem reading this dump.

Hi,
Someone told me that my antivirus (Avira free edition) caused all the problems.
I tried to uninstall it and use another antivirus program (G Data) but unfortunately after resuming from sleep mode I got another bluescreen.
I added the new dump from today (exept for this new one from today and the old dump from 24/4/10 I accidentally deleted all of my other dumps using CCleaner... I hope this one will be readable).

Thanks in advance,

Madara.

Uninstall Avira and G-Data AV. Use Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast with Windows Firewall in it's place.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

Hi DeanP,

I've done everything you said: changed the anti-virus and firewall to M$'s, upgraded the drivers and tested the RAM with memtest86 (I stopped the test after 5 passes with no errors) yet the problem still persists...

What else can I check?
If it's not the RAM itself, maybe memory corruption indicate the page file?

Thx in advance,

Madara.
