    Multiple BSOD on new computer

Hi, I've just got a new PC and I've been having BSOD for almost a week now. I've tried several fixes (BIOS update, several formats, updating drivers), but, aside from being (apparently) less frequent, the problem still continues.

Some background information; now that the blue screens seems to be less frequent, they usually happen on the first boot after the computer is off for a while. From what I remember, the first BSOD is always a memory_management error, followed by several others with different error messages. Only after peforming a complete scan disk, I'm able to boot again.

I've attached all the dumps I've got, some of them before driver updates, but I'm not sure wich ones exactly. Several others where lost after formats, however. Also, I've run memory tests - some returned errors - but it's been a time since that and the results look good so far.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Churchill and Welcome.

    STOP 0x0000001A: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    Usual causes:
    Device driver, memory, kernel.

Your latest dump file lists ntkrnlmp.exe as the probable cause. This is a Windows System file and for it to be the cause of your crash is highly unlikely.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes.

    As a Priority:

    sptd.sys Sun Oct 11 21:55:14 2009
The sptd.sys driver is notorious for causing BSOD's with Windows 7. It's a driver used and installed along with Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120 which you'll also have to uninstall.
Then use the correct (32bit or 64bit) download from Duplex Secure - Downloads to uninstall the SPTD.SYS driver.
Make sure to select the uninstall button! DO NOT SELECT INSTALL!!
    Virtual Drives
A couple of alternatives to DT/Alcohol that do not use SPTD.SYS (In no order).
DVDFab. Very small at just over 1Mb installed (My preference).
PowerISO (The program is a trial but the drive emulation is free forever).

    Outdated Drivers. Update:

AsIO.sys Mon Aug 03 08:03:16 2009 ASUS Probe Utility - Involved in some BSOD's. Suggest to uninstall.
AsUpIO.sys Mon Jul 06 03:21:38 2009 ASUS hardware monitoring related. Involved in some BSOD's. Suggest to uninstall.

    If blue screens continue:
Run Memtest86+ overnight, after your computer has been off for about an hour or two so it has a cold start. Let it run for at least 7 passes / 6-8 hours. If errors appear before that you can stop that particular test.
Note!! Any time Memtest86+ reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad Mobo slot. Test RAM sticks individually. When you find a good one then test it in all slots. Post back with the results.Let us know how it goes. If you get further problems with blue screens, attach your new dump files and details and we'll move on from there.

Asus P7H55 Memory Upgrades - Guaranteed Compatible Memory for your Asus P7H55 from Corsair

List of compatible ram for Asus P7H55 Motherboard. I didn't see TW3X4G1333C9. Maybe that's the problem. I could be wrong.

    First, thanks for the support.

belikexp, when I bought the computer I was aware of that non-explicit compatibility. The thing is that they didn't have any memories tested for compatibility for P7H55, so I decided to give it a try. Maybe that's the problem, but to fix it I'd have to send the PC back to the retailer, wich is on another city and transport would be on my expense. In case everything fails, however, that will be my only option...

fimble, for the same reason I can't test memory sticks, it would void my warranty. I did remove the drivers you told me to, let the computer off overnight, but I still got more BSOD in the morning. 3 blue screens came, but only two generated dumps (and the second one didn't inform wich error either).
Immediatly after those I ran a memory test and it found some errors. Later on, I decided to peform another test, after a cold start and without trying to boot on windows first. After 7 runs it was still clean, but I don't know if that means anything...
