Help with a dump file

Hello,

I have a HP EliteBook 8540p running Windows 7 64bit. I had posted on here a few weeks back about a similar system crashing, and through the help I got I was able to come up with a fix that has helped 99% of the people using this laptop on my network. There is still one that is having problems, and I am hoping someone can take a look at the attached dmp file and see if it is clear which drivers are causing problems.

Hi scott and welcome

A couple of problems.

1- your video driver is the probable cause of this crash.

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

2-Old drivers (from as far back as 2005) need to be updated. Obviously not a clean install of win 7 as recommended, Yhese are important drivers like your storage (raid) networking, etc.

How To Find Drivers:

- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
