Windows 7: BSOD graphic card related?

None of the hardware has been changed. He bought the computer in December 2010 and it has been giving him problems since.

It happens no matter what he's doing. More often during games, but it also happens when he's web browsing and doing other things.

@DeanP: Thanks for your input. I'll have him try the VGA stress test.

Just an update. He set his gfx card performance to "high maintenance" instead of "balanced" and has not had a problem yet.

Those are odd settings to find on a desktop graphics card.

I ran Prime95 on his computer for 17 hours until the test was completed and it detected 1 hardware problem, but I can't seem to find which hardware is causing it.
