    BSOD when cold...day2

    Okay so this is a new system;
    Windows 7 ultimate 32bit
    AMD Phenom x4 965be
    2x 2gb g.skill ddr3 1333
    gigabyte ga-880gma-ud2h
    nvidia geforce 9600gso 512
    matrox th2go digital edition (3 monitors)
    corsair h50 water cooling
    corsair nova series v64 ssd
    and 2x1tb seagate sata2 hdd's in raid0, (software raid)

    I had the system running perfectly fine, untill one day i decided to add a second 1tb hdd so that i could have 2tb raid0, at the same time i added an ssd for the OS and software. I switched the mobo to ahci mode, installed windows and setup my raid.

    Since then i get a BSOD a few minutes after windows has loaded, after it has restarted, it runs fine, until the next day. Or sometimes it freezes, but mainly BSOD.

    =======================================
    The following info does not have to be read, just some unusual things that i noticed during this particular install.
    =======================================
    I noticed quite unusually that when i installed windows this time, everything seemed bigger, ie the minimise maximise buttons, the thickness of the taskbar also the aero theme was NOT enabled. Not by much though, i checked my resolution and that was fine. After installing the video drivers everything still seemed bigger. So i manually selected the windows aero theme, (it was initially on an "unsaved theme") and then everything went smaller. I found this quite weird as usually it automatically defaults to the aero theme.

    Also i have noticed that the 4 cpu temp sensors dont show on core temp anymore, speedfan gets the temps mixed up, an ET6 works fine, this i found also strange as the all worked perfectly fine before, also everest doesnt recognise my motherboard name but still shows info about it. On my previous W7 install i updated the mobo to a newer version, maybe it has something to do with that.

    Thanks for reading

    it's a busy site, sometimes posts get overlooked. Bribery isn't required.
    It looks like a basic driver issue, should be solvable without hair pulling.
    I'll have a look at you driver dump and post back in a bit.

    Code:
    KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
    This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
    the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
    as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
    Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
    coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
    /NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
    hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
    If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
    system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
    Arg2: 82e7516c, The address that the exception occurred at

    For the moment I would disable / remove your current antivirus software as they are known to sometimes disagree and cause these issues.

    Sorry for coming across as an impatient briber, that was not my intention, just a way of describing how much i appreciate the help. Should set up a donation link!

    Anyhow, I will remove Comodo, and install MSE instead, does this let you block a specific application from connecting to the internet?

    I will post the results tomorrow as I can only tell when i turn the PC on after work.

    Thankyou

    Still BSOD

    Hello,

    Okay so I removed Comodo, and today I was hit with another BSOD, then another, then a freeze.

    Looks like it's gunna be a tough one, bluescreenview says;
    NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM (Ntfs.sys)
    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (usbehci.sys)

    But il let you guys read it for yourself, ive uploaded the latest dumps and another perfmon.

    Could this be anything to do with my new ssd and ahci mode?

    Update Speedfan (the latest version will not use that old 1996 giveio.sys driver)
    Code:
    8c1f0000 8c1f0680   giveio   giveio.sys   Wed Apr 03 21:33:25 1996 (316334F5)
    8c1d6000 8c1d7480   speedfan speedfan.sys Sun Sep 24 08:28:47 2006 (4516880F)
    Update your ATI PCIe Motherboard/Chipset - AMD.com | Support & Downloads
    Code:
    8c1f1000 8c1f9000   AtiPcie  AtiPcie.sys  Tue May 05 10:00:16 2009 (4A005480)
    Uninstall Gigabyte Easy Saver (known issues w/Win 7)

    BluescreenView does not provide accurate results.
    You will also need to upgrade your graphics driver - see instructions below.

    - Boot into Safe Mode with Networking
    - Uninstall the Display Drivers (via. Device Manager)
    - Use Driver Sweeper to sweep the traces of the previous driver Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
    - Install the latest version NVIDIA DRIVERS 266.58 WHQL
    - Reboot into normal mode

    Thankyou Dean, your speedy reply if much appreciated, will post results tomorrow.

    Having checked the nvidia website, according to my graphics card (9600 GSO 512) its says that i should download the 266.58 version that is 131MB, the version you linked me to is only 72.7MB although it is the same version (266.58) only difference is that one is UK and one is USA, does it matter which one i choose? I will pick the UK one.

    Also I already am using the latest version of speed fan (4.42)
