7 Pro 86x not repairing with windows 7 Pro disc

Ok so i put in my windows 7 disc to find use the repair function as startup recovery is not working. Just to find out that it says 'this version of system recovery is not compatible with the version of windows you are using. try using a recovery disc that is compatable with this version of windows'.

The problem with this is that im currently using the same disc i used to install my OS. Does anyone have any sujestions

Try another method of running System Recovery Options

Startup Repair automates all of the tests and fixes, but you may need to run it more than once. Let us know what it finds, or if it doesn't find an installation to Repair.

Hello Flarus, welcome to Seven Forums!

See if creating a system repair disk and using that to run an sfc /scan will help, it may take running the scan a few times to repair everything that may need it and be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

How to Create a Windows 7 System Repair Disc

SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

What exactly are the issues you are having, in detail?

Well basically one time i was on my pc doing my uni work and a quick flash of the blue screen. then once it restarted it tried to repair but would say it could not repair itself. with the following problem.

Problem Signature 01 6.1.760.16385
Problem Signature 02 6.1.760.16385
Problem Signature 03 unknown
Problem Signature 04 21201037
Problem Signature 05 AutoFailover
Problem Signature 06 5
Problem Signature 07 0x3b
OS Version 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1

i then tried using the disc and got the error stated earlier. I once then tried the other available boot options and still nothing has been able to sort it.

Also thanks for the warm welcome Bare Foot Kid.

The only other thing before hand i was getting beep codes on start-up prior to all this happen. it was a Video Memory test failure 1long 3 short beeps. but did not think that is the reason why this was happening as my display was fine and didnt happen untill after instalation of a new graphics card.

So there is the problem in full

Edit: I have just tried the recovery disc thgat was posted and has came up wirth the same problem as my windows 7 disc

Are you able to remove the new v card to see if that sorts the issue?
