Fresh install new Motherboard all new drivers crashing?
I just installed a ASRock A770DE+ that I got new yesterday. I have all the screws secured no chance of arching. I get these crashes mainly on startup. I tested the C: drive which is a Velociraptor 160gb with some good diag software. I completely erased it and reformatted with Western Digital Data Lifeguard Utility did a long erase with zeros and ones then I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit properly. I was getting a BSOD restart at startup the second time it boots fine and I can run games. I did happen to see that it said CLFS.SYS but as I said that has stopped for the most part. Startup Repair could not repair it so I restarted and it booted fine. I have downloaded SP1 and all updates. I have flashed the newest motherboard BIOS and drivers. This Raptor drive is the HLFS and was made only a little over a year ago it's Enterprise so it has a five year warranty. Any help would be appreciated. The problem seems to stem from when I try to get out of sleep mod or when I boot the comp. Right now it's stable temps are stable CPU 40 C, System 30 C, Core 24 C on SpeedFan. I can play DX10 games fine with no crashes so I don't know what to think. AHCI is enabled in BIOS.
