Windows 7: Computer keeps freezing...

Computer keeps freezing...

This started when I applied two updates plus SP1. The computer now just freezes, the mouse keeps moving but everything else stops(Video,Audio etc..). I tried uninstalling SP1 but that didn't change anything and I looked for those two updates but the history shows 2/26/2011 as the installed date when I uninstalled SP1.

I tired a roll back, but that doesn't go back before I applied the two updates plus SP1 for some reason.

Any help? Thanks.
My computer is a Dell inspiron 580 Core i3-530
Windows 7 64 bit.

Hello there, Fin!

Could you upload a screenshot of the Resource Monitor (resmon) in the CPU tab? Upload it via the paperclip on the comment box!

Wow that's weird, you're not using you CPU at all, let me ask you.

Do you experience this lock ups while doing something? or just like that...

Nope, just watching my shows on WMC and or surfing the web nothing processor intensive.

Have you tried a repair install?

Repair Install

But before that, did you run a malware/virus scan to discard that?

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Run a scan with Malwarebytes.
Also it will be good to fill out your System Specs.

I just ran a scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and it found nothing. The Repair install is something I might not want to do as it might affect the DRM on my WMC files(And make them not playable).
