Random blackouts on Laptop
Hi Everyone ,
I am using a 3 year old Toshiba A200 - PSAFCL 01R00g laptop . Its specifications are
Intel Dual core 1.73 GHZ
3 GB RAM
2 x Hitachi 110 GB Hard drive
Nvidia GO 7300 , 128 mb external
Intel PRO Wireless 3945 ABG Network
Marvel Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller
BIOS - Phoneix Technologies 5.20
Windows 7 Build 7601 - SP1
Previosly I was using windows vista when the problem stated. Basicly the computer would just blackout by iteslf randomly .After which I did a clean install od Windows 7 and also updated the BIOS from the manufacturers site . The problem is my computer now only functions without blackouts in SAFE mode , which I am using now . When using it in the normal mode I realised that the blackout issue got more common after updating the display adaptor . So I uninstalled the display adapter and tried to use the standard VGA adaptor . Yet the problem still persists . Occasionall there is a BSOD which mentions a number 0x0000007E and a rdyboost.sys .However I dont think the issue is with the ReadyBoost program.
I ran the advanced mode memory diagnostics and nothing came up . Hard disks also show no issues. I have aslo updated all the drivers form the manufacturers site.
The things is the system is not actually shutting off , as the light indicator to the system is still on and the fans still running , but the hard drives and display stop functioning . I have opened up the system and cleaned the dust around the fans but still no improvement . Sometimes when i press the power on buttom the system doest even startup , i have to do this 2-3 times again , and then I enter safe mode . In Safe mode it does not suffer from the blackouts .
I have attached the Jcriff dmp files , please take a look , any valuable advice is greatly appreciated .
Cheers
Harrish
