    Cant boot up windows??

    Hi SF

    Setup:
    Windows 7 32bit
    MBAM3 Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3
    AMD Phenom 2 X6 1090T 3,2Ghz AM3
    DDR3-1600 Kingston 4* 2GB HyperX RAM
    1000GB Deagate SATA2 7200rpm HDD
    Radeon HD6870 1GB DDR5.

Like an hour ago I downloaded the Dragon Age 2 demo, but after playing it for only a few minutes my PC crashed and i had to hard reboot it.

At first it said "missing operative system" but now it says "Disk boot failure, insert system disc and press enter". It keeps doing this? Like there is no windows installed? And i dont even have my windows 7 installation disc at the moment.

Anyone knows what the problem is? and how i can fix it?

Any help is appreciated! Regards Niclas

    Hello there, Niclas.

The error that you're reporting "Disk boot failure, please insert system disk and press enter" is related to the fact that you "don't have a HDD connected in your PC". could you check the HDD cables and connections, maybe try to move it to another SATA port or use another SATA power cable, because the BIOS is NOT detecting the HDD, hence, it can't boot to anything

Please report back with your results

Hey, thanks for the quick reply!

I tried doing what you said, but it still says:
    "Loading Operative system ...
    Boot from CD/DVD :
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT DISK AND PRESS ENTER"

Im getting a little desperate :/ I've only had the PC for 2 months and this is the first problem i've experienced with it

    UPDATE

After a minor patience test the screen showed up asking wether to repair or install windows on the computer. I selected repair, but the automatic repair didnt work, and the restore system to a previous point didnt either since it couldent find any previous versions of windows?? its like it cant see the HDD?

What am i supposed to do and is there any way that I can test if it really is the HDD that isnt working?

    UPDATE

Found out the HDD is the problem, since I cant see it in the BIOS. I've tried changing SATA ports with my DVD drive, but it still shows no HDD and it shows the DVD drive, which means the SATA ports aren't the problem. Furthermore I can't feel the HDD spinning, so i guess it isnt even turned on. Seems like it just died on me.

Any known revival methods? or is now the time to use my warranty? :)
