Windows 7: SSD Sleep Resume Fail

SSD Sleep Resume Fail

Since replacing my old HDD with a SSD, Windows will no longer resume from sleep (it hibernates just fine). It goes to sleep seemingly fine, but when it's time to wake up, the system appears to resume as expected, but the screen remains black. The system must then be shut down by holding the power button for 6 seconds and then restarted.

Sleep had worked fine with the HDD.

General specs:
Dell XPSM1330
2.2GHz Core2Duo T7500
4GB RAM (Corsair upgrade from original 2GB)
Kingston SNV425S264GB SSD (discontinued drive, attempted to find new drivers for it but was unable to)
Dell Bios A15 (latest BIOS I can find for it)

I recall reading something about this previously, but could not recall where, nor if it had been resolved.

I suppose I'm not expecting miracles, but I do miss sleeping. Hibernating takes as long as rebooting anyway. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Windows 7 Professional x64

Hello. I have the exact same problem. I recently changed the hard disk with SSD and I can not use sleep / resume because the system does not start. Black screen, power on, fan works. A solution exists? Thanks for any advice.

After last windows update, problem solved.
