    since you can do a complete install from a upgrade disc the startup repair feature should also be there.

    You maybe looking at what hardware is installed on your computer - not changing the boot order. Look into more in your BIOS.
    There should be something like Boot Order, Boot Sequence

    Ok i used the disc...

    EDIT: I took the disc out after i repaired the startup....then nothing would work on my desktop, internet wouldnt open, control panel or anything from start button wouldnt open...then i put in the disc and everything started popping up like normal, then I took out the disc and I am typing this right now :P

    Ok, so I uninstalled Avast again and restarted without disc, it is all good so far ...No BSOD (Yet)!
