Windows 7: Random BSOD (Lots)

Random BSOD (Lots)

Hi, I'm currently running on a two month old, custom made computer.

Computer Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Mobo: ASUS PX58D Premium
Ram: Muskin Enhanced Blackline 3x2gb PC 12800
CPU: Intel i7 3.07ghz
PSU: Corsair Professional 850W
Video: HD Radeon Sapphire 6970
Antivirus: Kaspersky Internet Security 2011

My problems started toward the end of February, when my former AV (Trend Micro) Diagnosed "700 potential threats" on my computer, however, it didn't seem to take any measures to quarantine the threats on my computer. I started getting random BSOD's. So I thought reinstalling windows and wiping away my HDD would help things but the problem didn't seem to go away. I'm getting an average of around five blue screens a day..

I've gotten these error codes so far:

1) SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
2) MEMORY-MANAGEMENT
3) ATTEMPT TO WRITE ON READ-ONLY FILE
4) PAGE FAULT IN NON-PAGED AREA
5) UDFS_FILE_SYSTEM
6) IQRL_NOT_REAL
7) BAD_POOL_HEADER
8) APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

Attempted Solutions:

-Reinstalled Windows
-Updated Drivers through Device Manager
-Ran a full scan with Kaspersky: No threats detected.
-Used Memtest86+....One test (I think #9) showed around two million errors. But I keep running over it again and it never showed those errors ever again..

Help!

If so, RAM is the problem. Check if it's set according to its rated specs, and then test per stick and per slot to locate the guilty one.

alrighty!

So do all my error codes point to only the RAM or could there be other things?

The problem is that if memtest does show errors, sorting drivers won't help.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.

Arg2: fffff80002fad61c, The address that the exception occurred at

APC_INDEX_MISMATCH (1)
This is a kernel internal error. The most common reason to see this
bugcheck is when a filesystem or a driver has a mismatched number of
calls to disable and re-enable APCs. The key data item is the
Thread->KernelApcDisable field. A negative value indicates that a driver
has disabled APC calls without re-enabling them. A positive value indicates
that the reverse is true. This check is made on exit from a system call.
Arguments:
Arg1: 000000007768f72a, address of system function (system call)
Arg2: 0000000000000000, Thread->ApcStateIndex << 8 | Previous ApcStateIndex
Arg3: 000000000000ffff, Thread->KernelApcDisable

I'll go ahead and tinker with the RAM Sticks and update drivers.

Thank you!

Hi, just two more things....

I know where to get the specs from the Ram manual but how do I find out what it's actually set at??

When I'm individually testing the RAM chips and the slots, should I just run memtest86 over each configuration until I find the error or just wait for a Blue screen to come again?

Thank you!

CPU-Z memory tab will show your current settings.

i have exactly the same problems. system ran fine for about 2 years, now i get lots of BSODs.

just curious: did you find a solution?

i had these so far:

2) MEMORY-MANAGEMENT
6) IQRL_NOT_REAL
7) BAD_POOL_HEADER

errors reported with ndis.sys, win32k.sys ...

ran memtest 4.0 yesterday no errors, then today millions of errors during test 9 and the test clock kinda stopped....

i cleaned the PC interior, put my 4GB stick into a different slot... memtest running again, no errors so far...
