Windows 7 (recovered)??what does this mean??

Well straight to query rather than a problem.I tried to install windows xp on my DELL laptop running windows 7 but it gave error so someone here suggested changing SATA controller from AHCI to ATA in BIOS.After i restarted laptop it gave windows 7 error saying its detecting hardware change or something with option of start up repair.Well in short i changed SATA controller back to AHCI and now windows 7 is working perfectly normal apart from in msconfig it shows "windows 7 home premium (recovered)"/i tried ubuntu as wubi (installed within windows) there also in boot up screen it showed "windows 7 (recovered). Is this a serious problem or i am thinking too much??

Btw i didnt install windows xp.

You're thinking too much. The boot files were recovered, so there was an issue with your Win7 installation at one point (probably the change from AHCI to ATA and back). You can edit out the "Recovered" if you want by using bcdedit.

If you're not having any problems, then there's no need to worry about it.
