both .dmp files blame atikmpag.sys described as a VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)
Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed.

your ATI driver for your 6800 series card is not the most recent so you need to update it from the AMD ATI website ?

let us know how that goes ?

Ive tried using the latest 11.2 catalyst drivers from ati.com among the olders there.
And the drivers from the graphicscard driver-cd. i get same error.

It usually starts out fine with newly installed drivers, but when it freezes for the first time it gets more freezes...

I would advise monitoring your temperatures and running a game or prime95 to stress your system

the fact it has happened on three different O/S definitely suggest a problem with your card

    - Boot into Safe Mode with Networking
    - Uninstall the Display Drivers including Catalyst Control Center
    - Use Driver Sweeper to sweep the traces of the driver Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
    - Install the latest version ATI Radeon
    - Reboot into Normal Mode

I looked at temperature when playing bad company 2, it goes to 64-65 celsius. and the fan is running at 65%, so i dont believe its a heating problem..

Allready did that a zillion times DeanP, it doesnt seem to work..

im gonna try returning the card / and/or have someone professional to look at it.

I will come back with my soloution, if i find any ^^ (RMA or highly qualified computer repairing pro's)

thanks for all help so far, highly apreciated :)
