Windows 7: New BSOD after updating drivers

So I pulled the hard drive and hooked it up to another computer to attempt to get the dumps off of it (there were none). I went back to the computer, cleared the BIOS with the mobo jumpers and hooked the hard drive back up. It booted into windows and so far no BSOD (cross fingers). It created a new dump from the last crash that I would like someone to look at. I also, before the last time i shut down, changed ASACPI.sys to .bak. The next time I booted up it wouldn't work so I switched it back to .sys. I am so baffled as to why this computer crashes after being off but once its on it runs fine.

Could this be hard drive related? Wat if by having the hard drive hooked up to my computer it warms it up and when I hook it back up to the host computer it works fine but when it sits idle for a couple hours and cools off and I attempt to boot it up it wont boot? Is this heard of?

Could a bad sata cable cause bsod's?

Sure, but what leads you to believe you have a bad cable?

I do not know about the other members that are trying to help you, but I need more information about what you have on your system to balance what I am seeing in your .dmp reports.

The easiest way to know would be for you to fill out your SystemSpecs.

In order to know what you have in/on your machine these tools are handy, and listed in no particular order:
Speccy - System Information - Free Download
Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit
I am going to have to update my copy, but I use Everest also, and it has been upgraded to AIDA64.
This Everest link EVEREST Ultimate Edition - PC Diagnostics | Lavalys.com will redirect you to here:
AIDA64 | PC Benchmark | System Diagnostics | Network Inventory

Unfortunatly I will no longer suggest Everest/AIDA64 because I could not find a free version for it!

CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
I would really like to see a report from here:
GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility

Posting ScreenShots:
Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

I would also like to know if you built this machine yourself or if it was manufactured by:
* ABS Computer Technologies* Acer* eMachines* Gateway* Packard Bell* Apple* Dell* Alienware* Gateway* Gericom* Gigabyte* Hewlett-Packard* Compaq* VoodooPC * Hitachi* IBM....etc....etc...
From you other thread:

Did dean have you check the memory?
RAM - Test with Memtest86+

It should run for 5 to 7 passes, it will take a bit of time.
I ran it 5 passes with no errors but I will do it again to make sure
Have you run memtest again? Some members suggest to run it for 8 or more passes

The cdd.dll ( cdd!vGDIDirtyUpdate+33 ) that is listed first is making me think this is memory and graphics related.

Can you update your video drivers? Do you have memory on your video card?

I would also like to see a stress test on your video card, you can use these tools:
This for a baseline: ATITool - Overclocking utility for ATI and NVIDIA cards
Then:GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility

So I got a couple more BSOD dumps. After about 5 BSOD the computer boot into windows. I have not run memtest again. Once I can get into Windows the computer runs fine. It's only after the computer is off for a couple hours that I get BSOD when I boot it back up. I believe I have the latest video drivers. I could not get the stress test to work. It says the driver isn't verified and that I can only install verified drivers. Is there a way to turn that off. I am also going to attach the screen shots you requested. This computer is a friends of mine. He built it himself about 8 months ago and has never been able to get it running. It gave him issues from the start.

Everything is on-board. The video card has it's own memory (128mb DDR3 1333).

It just boggles my brain as to why the computer runs without hiccups once its up and running but letting it sit off for a couple hours is causing BSOD when you turn it back on.

Asus

M4A785TD-V EVO With onboard video

This seems to be either VGA driver issue or corrupt onboard (but I don't think so)
Go to the site, get the latest divers, uninstall old drivers reboot and install new ones.

HERE IS THE BEST BET.
(If you don't understand what you are doing, don't do it).

If you want to really do a clean install of vid drivers, Download Gpuclean put the command in the root of the C drive. Uninstall old drivers reboot in safe mode, run gpuclean as instructed on web site
Before you reboot, go to the device manager and uninstall vga by right clic/properties/uninstall driver. Reboot, install lates AMD drivers
Here are the latest from AMD
HERE

You can also test the drivers (big issues often are either drivers or mem)

Driver Verifier (How to)

OK, this is something that is very hard to find. If you try to shoot in the dark all the time, you will get aggravated and you still won't find the issue.

For the hardware, unplug all cd, dvd drives, all other hardware except the main hard drive

For the ram, if you can make the machine work with one stick at a time, try that, or better yet, swap the ram if you have some spare.

Go in run window type Msconfig.
In the first tab Choose select startup

In the services tab, choose hide Microsoft services and un check all the other ones.

In the fourth tab Startup, programs un check all boxes except anything that mentions MS.
Reboot play with the sys for a while.

If nothing, go back to Msconfig, and add a program with it's service one
at a time rebooting and testing.

This will tell you if you have software issues.

So as a precaution I ran memtest for 25 passes (lol) and had no errors. I only have one stick of memory and I don't have any extra lying around so I cant swap anything. I was going to try and take my video card from my computer and stick it in this one and see if the problem still continues but I will try your suggestions first and report back.'

Edit: So I did that Gpuclean and uninstalled the drivers and now it won't let me install the ATI drivers. It tells me there's nothing installed and under device manager the display adapter says Standard VGA Grahpics Adapter. I also got another BSOD after uninstalling the display adapter

Edit2: I don't have anything under the services except for the video card control center

Edit3: I can't install any video drivers. I took my video card from my computer and put it in and it won't recognize it. I also got a BSOD from driver verifier after trying to install the video drivers from the asus website

There is definitly a mem issue and a driver driver issue.

Something in that machine (either hardware or driver) is the cause. Now tell me how you removed the vid drivers step by step please.

I also saw a csrss.exe which some associate with viruses but it also happens when the system is haywire because of hardware or drivers.

Try another vid card and disable onboard just to see.

I ran memtest for 25 passes with no errors. could it be the video memory or is it system memory?

Please don't add info to a post you replied. We won't be able to follow you.

Like I mentioned, Memtest is not fullproof.

You need to answer questions or users won't want to help.

It's hard troubleshoot a machine when you aren't in front.

You have no system specs indicated which in itself is tough enough.

Please tell me what you did about video drivers?

I ran gpuclean, uninstalled video device and then rebooted into safemode and tried to reinstall video drivers and it wouldn't work. I'm doing a system repair to see if it fixes it
