Windows 7: My BSOD

10 Mar 2011   #1

Windows 7

My BSOD

I built this PC at the end of Jan and it's been running fine since then. However, yesterday I got a BSOD. I tried some basics such as reinstalling video and LAN drivers as I suspect a conflict between the two is the source of the fault (see below) but no luck! And as you'll see from below, I've had a string of crashes since then!

Some info as follows:

64 bit version of Windows 7
Clean installed
All brand new hardware

I've been running WHOCRASHED to try and self-diagnose the issue, and it's coming back with different errors each time. They are as follows:

Hello,
Update your Reclusa Keyboard - here
Code:
RecFltr.sys Thu Jan 18 14:23:09 2007
I am unable to identity these two drivers. If you know what program/hardware uses this driver. Update it - otherwise, rename (see note below)
Code:
Sleen1564.sys Thu Feb 22 01:33:57 2007
TBPANELX64.SYS Tue Sep 20 23:32:31 2005
DO NOT USE WINDOWS UPDATE TO UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS!

Run chkdsk /f
Run sfc /scannow
Run Hard Drive Test (SeaTools)

Note   Note
Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers, locate this driver file and rename it from .sys to .old. Reboot and this driver will not load. This method will break whatever software (or hardware) the driver is associated with. Then, you can update or uninstall that software.

Regards...
Dean

Windows 7

Hello,

Firstly, thanks for your help so far!

I've ran through the steps you gave me; updated reclusa driver, renamed the other drivers and ran the hard-disk routines. All went through fine, no problems!

Loaded up my PC and done some basic web surfing etc and everything seemed fine. Opened up a game, and after a few minutes (10 or so) got a BSOD. I don't think the game is the cause of the problem though, as it was running fine for weeks previously.

New dump attached.

I pre-empted your response by going back to the drivers on the disc. The PC has been running now for about 3 to 4 hours without a crash. I think the next step will be to follow your instructions to see if I can get onto the most recent drivers.

In any event, thankyou for your help. If the BSOD reoccurs, I'll be sure to repost.
