BSODs on new computer build
I have just built a new computer with brand new hardware that is windows 7 compatible. When i first started it up there were no problems for ages but all of a sudden i started getting frequent random BSODs of all different kinds. i tested and tried everything i could think of and i found that i had some old drivers which i updated, my RAM was set wrong which i manually set to the manufacturers recommended settings and that i had 1 bad stick of memory which is being RMAed at the moment. These fixes didnt help, the BSODs still came all the time randomly and with various Stop errors. so i resorted to doing a clean re-installation of my OS. I made sure everything was done correctly and that all my drivers were 100% updated from the start and everything seemed to be working fine for a few days - but now it has started happening all over again, same varied BSODs, frequent and at random times. (0x24, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0xD1, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x3B, 0x1E etc....) I have barely installed any new software after the re-installation, just been browsing the web mainly.
This is what i have done from the beginning to attempt to fix the BSODs:
-Updated all drivers using DriverMAX
-Monitored hardware temps - normal
-Ran sfc /scannow - no errors
-Ran chkdsk /f - no errors
-Ran HD tune - no errors
-Ran Prime95 - no errors
-Ran Memtest86+ for 8+ passes for each stick individually in same dimm and tested each dimm - found 1 bad stick of ram - RMAed
-Set RAM settings manually to manufacturers recommended settings
-Clean re-install of windows 7
Comp specs:
-Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (upgrade from windows xp home edition)
