Hey Mark here.

My problem:
When I boot up my PC, there comes a message: No hard drive found, but then proceeds and during the Windows 7 logo I get the Blue Screen of Death, and it doesn't even finish and I get a restart.

What I recently changed:
After owning a Dell for 4 years I decided to get a new PC, but keep the hard disk and optical drives from it.

So I installed it to my new PC which has this:
ASUS P8P67-M Pro
i7-2600K
4GB Kingston DDR3
SATA I (1st generation) 250GB HDD

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

What I've tried:
Using different SATA ports, disabling "marvell sata controller" which fixed the "No Hard Drive Detected" message. But still get BSoD at the same area, during Windows 7 Logo.

I think it is my hard disk.

Hope this was helpful information.

Hey thanks, I tried and both of them don't work.
Start up repair says it doesn't detect anything
Safe mode doesn't work, because when it gets to logo BSoD.

New info, the HDD is fine, I plugged it in my laptop with SATA to USB and everything is fine.
Just when I put it into my new PC it acts up. Any idea?

P.S Got a new HDD trying to plug it in and see if it works will need to install a fresh version of Windows 7

Reset your bios back to default then if that dose not work you need to start mucking around with SATA/IDE settings.

It's a new mobo everything is already at default.
I tried changing it from AHCI to IDE, still didn't work, also tried disabling Marvell SATA Controller as stated earlier. (Which are giving people problems as well.)

Is there any chance it can be a driver issue? Maybe driver for the chipset? Since I changed major components.
Anyway will try to look around more.

Let me see if I am getting this straight, you have put your HDD from your Dell (old) into your new system? If so that is the problem (nothing wrong with the HDD). You need to reinstall the OS so that it will it can setup with all the new system components. Also, since it is an i7 you should go with Ult 64 to get the full use out of your memory, and other components built into your new MB.

Mark, if you bought a copy of Win 7 (box) then it should contain both 32 and 64 bit. If it is OEM, then "Oh Darn." Good luck either way.

Mark, if your old HDD is your "D" drive (not your main drive "C") then just reformat the drive, and you will be ready to go.

Oh, be sure to back up any files you want to keep.

When you get a new system, you need to format the HDD because if you don;t you will have driver conflicts witch probably caused your blue screens.
