    Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
    Q9550 Core 2 quad
    WD 320/gb Blue
    Crucial 4/gb RAM (2x2 modules)
    No on-board sound

    Thank you,

    Hello,

Start by installing this updated Realtek ethernet driver: Realtek

Also run some hardware diagnostics, starting with the three Prime95 tests: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-prime95.html

Next, run SeaTools: SeaTools for Windows | Seagate

Memtest86 is also a good ideal: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Finally, run driver verifier: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Jonathan I'll do that. I thought the Realtek was up to date (per DriverGenius), but I'm starting to wonder how good that program is. I did run memtest86 the other day for several hours. As usual, no faults. Though I sometimes wonder. Thank you.

Updated the Realtek driver, ran both memtest and prime95, both passed after a few hours. I have the driver verification running, and it was running during the dump. Not sure what to pull off that. Here is the dump file of the latest crashes

Please remove DriverGenius - those sort of programs cause nothing but problems.

What is the make/model of your PSU?

Go ahead and turn off Driver Verifier now; apparently this problem is not with drivers but rather with hardware.

We are seeing some hard drive errors:

Due to the frequency of these errors, I suspect a bad hard drive. Please run SeaTools, both the Short and Long DSTs.

Also, open a command prompt and enter chkdsk /r.

I ran a full disc scan using WD tools if that matters, found no errors. Also Windows ran a disc check on it's own after the last crash. It went into scan before boot-up. No errors found. If this continues, I may just run a Windows repair. And if faults still occur, I'll try another HD. Thanks for the assistance gents.

P.S., I unloaded DriverGenius the other day. The problems seemed to occur after it's use. Though I've used it for a long time without issues. But I understand the fact that wrong drivers may get used, or even new drivers can create issues.

You may try a system restore to revert those changed DriverGenius made: System Restore

If you know exactly which drivers were updated, a more convenient option would be to do a driver rollback of those: Device Manager - Roll Back Driver - Vista Forums
